Fireplace Manufacturers Merging

09/08/2022

Two leading fireplace manufacturers are merging to create a single, larger company. The combined company will be known as Innovative Hearth Products and will be based in Santa Ana, California. The combined company will produce fireplaces, free-standing stoves, accessories, and venting products. Both companies began as low-end companies and nearly went out of business during the recession of the early 1990s. During this time, the company laid off 71 workers and was forced to move its operations from Orange, California, to Tennessee. The move helped the company increase its manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs.

Jotul is a company that produces fireplaces and cast iron stoves. Their products are known for combining fine craftsmanship with high-efficiency heating capabilities. Since 1853, Jotul has been making fireplaces and stoves for both domestic and commercial use. Today, Jotul products are sold under the name of Thelin Hearth Products. Thelin produces a variety of models, including wood-burning models. Central Boiler is another company that manufactures outdoor wood furnaces.

In addition to cooking and heating, Dreifuss Fireplaces are also a beautiful focal point in any room. In fact, fireplaces are part of many family traditions, especially during the holidays. Tailgating or entertaining is also a great way to enjoy a cozy fire. However, not all fireplaces are created equal. Even if fireplaces are similar, their efficiency is not guaranteed.

There are two basic types of wood-burning fireplaces. Traditional masonry fireplaces are built of brick or stone. Low-mass fireplaces are prefabricated in a manufacturing facility. They are usually not used as a primary source of heat, but are more for aesthetic purposes. As a result, they are inefficient heaters. However, there are EPA-qualified models that are more energy-efficient. To know more about fireplace manufacturers merging, read more here.

Adding a fireplace to your home is a relatively simple project. You just need to consider the look you want and what function you want it to perform. You can find both wood-burning and gas-burning fireplaces in the market. Once you've determined your needs, the process of installing a fireplace is easy.

Direct-vent fireplaces use outside air for combustion and exhaust, which eliminates the hassle of chimneys and heat loss. Direct-vent fireplaces can be vented through the roof or out to the side or back of the house. Direct-vent fireplaces should feature a sealed glass door, which will ensure proper combustion and indoor air quality. Check out this post that has expounded on the topic: https://www.britannica.com/technology/fireplace.
